Regular MBA ( Full time and Part time)
IBA admission requirements for regular MBA is as follows:
To be a candidate of regular IBA MBA admission , one should have 7 points. The calculation of the point is discussed below:
SSC and HSC:
GPA Range | Points |
3.50 to 5.00 | 3 |
2.50 to 3.49 | 2 |
For 4 years honors:
CGPA Range | Points |
3.50 to 4.00 | 5 |
3.00 to 3.49 | 3 |
2.50 to 2.99 | 2 |
For 3 years pass course:
CGPA Range | Points |
3.50 to 4.00 | 4 |
3.00 to 3.49 | 3 |
2.50 to 2.99 | 2 |
Therefore, all a candidate needs is 7 points.
Practical Example
Say, a student’s academic result is given below:
Exam | GPA | Points |
SSC | 4.00 | 3 |
HSC | 4.00 | 3 |
BSC | 3.00 | 2 |
Total = 8 points
Therefore, he can take participate in the admission test.
Anyone who gets less than 3.5 in SSC or HSC is not eligible for MBA admission test.
Eligibility for Executive MBA
Below are some key points to calculate the eligibility for executive MBA of IBA:
- Bachelor’s degree having a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.00
- Minimum GPA of 3.00 out of 5.00 in both SSC and HSC
- Five years of work experience after completion of Bachelor’s degree
For foreign degree holders, equivalence will be determined by the equivalence committee.
Age requirement
Age is not among IBA admission requirements. If a candidate have 7 points discussed above for regular MBA, then she can attend the intake exam. Therefore, if the educational and experience requirement is okay, a candidate can take part in the intake examination.
