Dhaka University EMBA Question Pattern

Below are the sections for selection process with distributed marks in Dhaka University EMBA admission:

  1. Written test-80
    1. MCQ- 55
    2. Writing-25
  2. Viva-5
  3. Year of schooling-5
  4. Job experience-10

Total = 100

Passing criteria:

A candidate does not need to pass separately in each section for Dhaka University EMBA admission test. However, she must get at least 22 mark in the MCQ and 10 marks in the writing part.

Written test:

MCQ part

For MCQ part, there will be 55 question to be answered in 55 minutes. Marks distribution for the MCQ part is as follows:

English- 15 marks- Reading comprehension, Synonym/ antonym, Grammatical question,

Mathematics- 20 marks

Analytical ability-10 marks- Critical reasoning and analytical puzzle

Current affairs- 10 marks- majority from recent few months national and international affairs.

Total – 55

Writing part:

There will be any or all of the following parts in the writing part:

  1. Paragraph writing
  2. Translation (from Bengali to English or vise versa)
  3. Summary writing
  4. Sentence correction
  5. Short note writing

Candidates will get 35 minutes to answer all of the questions.

Viva:

Maintaining proper formal dress code is very important. On an average of 3-4 marks is not that much difficult in EMBA DU viva.

Year of schooling:

A maximum of 5 marks will be given for the number of years of schooling of a candidate. Below is the method:

This will be more or less very similar for all candidates. Therefore, this will not be a differentiation making section.

Job experience:

A maximum of 10 marks will be given for a candidate for his job experience. For the first two years of experience, a candidate will get no point. For the experience of 3 and above,  a candidate will get 1 point for each year of experience. The maximum point a candidate can attain from her experience is 10.
